Why's the jig-grinder overlooked?
It's overlooked partly since most toolmakers visualize it being an obsolete machine measuring only good for round holes or time-consuming contours that needs to be done on the CNC milling machine. It's correct, it's not common, it is primarily used for round holes, and it does excel at contours such as you will discover in the gauge for inspection.
